New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced that the country will move into its so-called "red setting" or its highest level of restrictions just short of a lockdown, before midnight Sunday as the Omicron variant spreads. The decision comes after Omicron cases were found in potential super-spreader events. New Zealand has reported 24 new community cases and 47 infections on its border on Sunday. Ardern says the country is expected to reach 1,000 cases a day in the coming weeks. The prime minister canceled her wedding next week due to the restrictions.
