The Beijing 2022 opening ceremony, with a romantic tone, is expected to demonstrate the cultural confidence of Chinese people in the new era, Zhang Yimou, chief director of Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, said in an exclusive interview with CMG.  Zhang, who directed the opening and closing ceremonies for Beijing's 2008 Summer Games, will again serve as chief director for the ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
