German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Berlin, with the two leaders stressing resolving the Ukraine crisis through diplomatic efforts.

Scholz and Macron were speaking ahead of the resumption of the "Normandy format" talks, with political advisers from Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany set to meet in Paris on Wednesday.
