China has urged the United States to correct wrongdoing in trade practices against China, a day after a World Trade Organization ruling that lets China impose tariffs on U.S. goods. Beijing says the ruling is important for correcting illegal countervailing practices of the United States and safeguarding the trade interests of Chinese firms. The Trump administration started a trade war with China by hiking tariffs on Chinese goods worth billions of dollars. President Joe Biden said last week he was not ready to lift the extra tariffs imposed on Chinese companies.
