Beijing Olympic torch relay to be held from Feb. 2 to 4: organizers

The torch relay of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will take place across the Games' three competition zones – downtown Beijing, the Chinese capital's Yanqing District, and the co-host city Zhangjiakou in neighboring Hebei Province, from February 2 to 4, the Beijing Olympics organizing committee said on Friday.

The relay route will include one independent region inside the closed-loop Olympic Village and 11 regions outside the Olympic Village, which will take place behind closed doors following strict COVID-19 countermeasures.

The schedule of the Beijing 2022 Olympic torch relay:

After a launch ceremony on February 2, the Beijing 2022 Olympic torch will be relayed from Beijing Olympic Forest Park to Beijing Winter Olympic Park.

On February 3, the torch will be delivered at Badaling Great Wall and World Grape Expo Park in Beijing's Yanqing District in the morning. Then the torch will be transferred to Zhangjiakou's Yangyuan Nihewan Ruins Park in the afternoon, followed by Zhangbei Desheng Village, Zhangjiakou Industrick Culture Theme Park, Chongli Fulong Ski Resort, and Zhangjiakou Dajingmen Cultural Relics Park.

On February 4, the torch will travel back to Beijing, at the Summer Palace, Grand Canal Forest Park and Beijing Olympic Forest Park, and the route in the final spot Beijing Olympic Forest Park is in the closed-loop management.
