Ahead of this year's Spring Festival, China has seen more holidaymakers opt for time off for winter sports. In northeastern Jilin Province, a new high-speed railway has seen passengers heading straight to a ski resort in the famous Changbai Mountain. China says it has met the goal of getting some 300 million people into winter sports ahead of Beijing 2022. By making transport easier and facilities more available, the country expects ice and snow activities to get even more popular as Winter Olympic Games coincide with the Lunar New Year holiday.
