The Beijing 2022 organizers said a total of 36 Games-related personnel tested positive for COVID-19 on January 28. 

29 of them were detected among new arrivals at the airport, and the remaining seven were those who were already in the closed-loop COVID-19 management. 

These new cases also include 19 athletes and officials from various participating countries.
