The Chinese government will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies, said Zhao Lijian, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, at a press conference in Beijing on Friday. Zhao made the remarks after being asked about the latest news report that the U.S. government had ejected China Unicom, a telecom operator, from the U.S. market over "security concerns".
