Chinese President Xi Jinping will join other world leaders at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics on February 4. He is also due to host a welcome banquet for visiting heads of state and leaders of international organizations, among whom will be Russian President Vladimir Putin, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus. The Chinese Foreign Ministry says bilateral meetings are expected to take place.
