Bakers in Shanxi Province's Hongtong County are busy making tiger-shaped buns for the Chinese Lunar New Year with scissors and comb to create different patterns. These steamed buns are called “huamo,” or floral buns, which are traditional dishes served during special occasions. Apart from “tiger buns,” the bakers make bag-shaped buns to symbolize being “filled with good fortune” in the New Year.
