Chinese President Xi Jinping and Moldovan President Maia Sandu on Sunday exchanged congratulations on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In his congratulatory message, Xi said China and Moldova are traditional partners of friendly cooperation, hailing the healthy and steady development of bilateral relations during the past 30 years.
He underscored the two countries' increasingly deepening mutual political trust, solid advancement in cooperation in various fields, close collaboration in international and regional affairs and solidarity in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Xi said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Moldova relations and stands ready to work together to further promote the development of bilateral ties and cooperation in various fields to bring more benefits to the two countries and their peoples.
Hailing the rapid development of Moldova-China relations, Sandu said the two countries' political dialogue has been enhanced continuously and that mutually beneficial cooperation has been deepening. She said the two countries also enjoy increasingly smooth coordination in multilateral affairs.
Sandu thanked China for providing anti-epidemic supplies to Moldova and said Moldova stands ready to tap into the potential for bilateral cooperation in various fields and strive for the further development of their relations.
China and Moldova established diplomatic ties on January 30, 1992.
