World leaders extended their best wishes to China upon the arrival of the Spring Festival, one of the country's most important holidays. 

The Year of the Tiger runs from February 1, 2022, to January 21, 2023, according to the Chinese zodiac.

In Chinese culture, the tiger symbolizes bravery, vigor and strength, which can lift people from adversity and usher in auspiciousness and peace.

Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso wished for China to achieve all its goals in the new year. He sent greetings and best wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Chinese government and the Chinese people. He added that as the tiger symbolizes strength and bravery, it will bring peace, happiness, health and prosperity in the new year. 

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach extended New Year's greetings to China, saying that he wishes all Chinese people a happy, successful and prosperous Year of the Tiger.

Czech President Milos Zeman wished Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people a happy New Year and that everything will go well. 

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa said that he wishes the Chinese people will achieve great success and have a happy holiday, and that the bilateral ties will be further consolidated and deepened. 

President of Mauritius Prithvirajsing Roopun said that Spring Festival culture has become a part of daily life in his country. "On behalf of Mauritius, I'm sending you my best wishes. Bless everyone with good health and good luck in the Year of the Tiger," he said.

Comorian President Azali Assoumani extended his sincerest wishes to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people. He said that the Chinese nation is heading for a great rejuvenation and Comoros is rejoiced over China's development and prosperity.
