The Village is the athletes' "home" during the competition, and uninterrupted telecom services are one of the mainstays. China Unicom has built a 5G network of smart venues and also launched smart viewing application services to make this a reality.

To make the daily lives of athletes and accompanying officials more convenient, organizers are also providing necessary supporting commercial services such as digital RMB, which enables the convenience of seamless, cashless payments.
