Eight people died on Saturday early morning when a jeep carrying members of a wedding procession skidded nearly 150 meters off a hilly road in mid-western Nepal, local police said.

"Six people died on the spot, while two others lost their lives when they were being taken to a nearby hospital," Deputy Superintendent of Police Satya Narayan Thapa told Xinhua. "Five others, including the bride and the groom, were also injured in the accident."
