'Widespread damage' feared as Cyclone Batsirai hits Madagascar

Cyclone Batsirai, the second storm to hit Madagascar in just a few weeks, on Saturday battered the island nation's eastern region with strong winds and heavy rain, officials said.
Batsirai made landfall in Mananjary district, more than 530 kilometers southeast of the capital Antananarivo, amid warnings of "widespread damage."
