Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi praised Iraqi efforts to enhance regional security and stability, referring to Baghdad's sponsorship of recent rounds of negotiations between Tehran and Riyadh.

Raisi made the remarks in a phone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, thanking the Iraqi government's efforts for hosting the talks, according to the Iranian presidency's website, adding that a strong and cohesive government and a united society in Iraq have always been emphasized by the Islamic Republic.
