An amusement park in Taiyuan City, the capital of north China's Shanxi Province, has been holding cultural events to celebrate the Chinese New Year.  

Colorful night-time shows and a newly-built scenic spot called Taiyuan Ancient County, which put on a variety of folk shows, contributed to a strong festive atmosphere that attracted many visitors.
