South China's Guangxi reports 56 new local COVID-19 cases

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of south China reported 56 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases from 4 p.m. on February 6 to 12 a.m. on February 7. The region has registered 99 infections in three days, all in the city of Baise. Officials said two of the confirmed cases were caused by Omicron. The city is now under lockdown, with only grocery, hospitals and pharmacies stores allowed to remain open.
