00:45

While the U.S. mobilizes troops to NATO allies, Russia and Ukraine are undertaking military exercises. Three Russian warships have passed through the Bosphorus Strait on their way to the Black Sea for naval drills. The Russian Defense Ministry said another three landing ships are expected to pass through on Wednesday. The ministry earlier said the Russian Navy has been carrying out several military exercises since January. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces will hold large-scale drills in several locations from February 10 to 20. Ukraine said the drills will test the medium-range Javelin missile system and other anti-tank missiles. The U.S. has been providing weapons to Ukraine since Kiev's tensions with Moscow re-surfaced.
