Tyme, a Singapore-based digital-banking firm, raised $70 million in a funding round led by Chinese tech giant Tencent to boost investment in South Africa and the Philippines last year. Coen Jonker, executive chairman and co-founder of Tyme talked to CGTN said the market in southeast Asia is particularly suited to Tyme's model.The company is also considering partnerships in Indonesia, Pakistan, and India.
