Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu held a phone conversation with Afghanistan's acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan.

Turkey expressed concern over reports of women disappearances while reiterating that the education of girls is vital. The two also discussed the reopening of Maarif schools in Afghanistan.

Cavusoglu said an administration with broad participation is necessary for stability and peace in the country.
