French President Emmanuel Macron called on Thursday for a "renaissance" for the French nuclear industry, saying he wanted up to 14 new reactors to power the country's transition away from fossil fuels, AFP reported.
Macron made such announcement during a visit to the eastern industrial town of Belfort. It was to place nuclear power at the heart France's drive for carbon neutrality by 2050.
