French police say they have stopped 500 vehicles trying to enter Paris to protest against COVID-19 restrictions. France has mobilized thousands of police, armored personnel carriers and water cannons to protesters out of the capital. Checkpoints were set up at toll points on major entry roads while riot-control barriers were erected across the city center. Vehicles were intercepted at various entry points.
