The Chinese mainland recorded 67 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, with 28 linked to local transmissions and 39 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Sunday.

A total of 34 new asymptomatic cases were also recorded, and 804 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now total 106,930 with the death toll remaining unchanged at 4,636 since January last year.

The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 16,719 (14,183 recoveries, 219 deaths)

Macao: 79 (79 recoveries)

Taiwan: 19,515 (13,742 recoveries, 851 deaths)
