Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin talked on the phone with Ukrainian Defense Minister Olexiy Reznikov on Monday, Belarusian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Khrenin said that Belarus was not the initiator of tension in relations between Belarus and Ukraine.

Reznikov called for the resumption of cooperation on security issues and mutual trust between the two countries.
