A festive mood is once again ringing across China with the arrival of the Lantern Festival, with the northwestern city of Xi'an welcoming visitors to enjoy spectacular light shows to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. The Lantern Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the first month on the Chinese lunar calendar, will be on Tuesday this year. A lantern show has been set up in the Tang Paradise theme park, named after the Tang Dynasty (618-907), when Xi'an served as the capital and was known as "Chang'an," meaning perpetual peace. The park has transformed into a stunning wonderland, with a wide range of light installations in the shape of the dragon, tiger and fish.
