A cold snap sweeping across most parts of China has created fantastic fairy-tale views and silver-covered scenes, filling residents and visitors with excitement and enjoyment during the traditional Lantern Festival, which falls on Tuesday. 

Onlookers have been thrilled to see "ice flowers" created by cracks in a lake and snow-covered terraces, among other magnificent sights.
