Russia says to withdraw part of troops after drills with Belarus
00:35

Part of the armed forces participating in joint drills with Belarus will be pulled back, Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said Tuesday. He stated that when the combat training activities are completed, the Russian troops, as always, will return to their locations of permanent deployment.

Ukraine, however, reacted cautiously as Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that Ukraine continuously heard different statements from the Russian Federation. "We have a rule: we believe not what we hear, but we believe what we see. If we see the pullout, we will believe in de-escalation," Kuleba said at a daily briefing.
