Russia said on Tuesday that some troops in its Western and Southern military districts have begun returning to their bases after completing drills, Interfax news agency reported, citing the Russian defense ministry.
"The units of the Southern and Western military districts have completed their tasks. They have already begun loading onto rail and road transport and today they will begin moving to their military garrisons. Individual units will march on their own as part of military columns," Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov was quoted as saying on Tuesday.
