The Russian and Brazilian foreign and defense ministers met in Moscow on Wednesday in the 2+2 format that allows two nations to discuss their strategic and security interests together.
In opening remarks, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the talks will explore more cooperation in diplomacy and security between Russia and Brazil.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was also due to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday during his first official visit to Moscow.
Earlier, Bolsonaro said that the priority issues will be cooperation in agriculture, energy and defense, according to TASS.
