The online networks of Ukraine's defense ministry and two banks were knocked offline in a massive cyberattack on Tuesday. No one has claimed responsibility for the incident yet.
The type of disruption reported by Ukrainian authorities on Tuesday is known as a distributed denial-of-service, often abbreviated DDoS, but the scale of it wasn't immediately clear.
