China welcomed the birth of a spotted seal, a species under first class national protection, on February 14, just in time for Valentine's Day. Four days before that, a family of black swans welcomed four cygnets as well. The births of these rare cuddly cuties have added to the festive atmosphere created by the Chinese New Year celebrations.
