The United States has received Russia's response to Washington's security proposals, a senior U.S. State Department official said on Thursday, adding that the response was delivered to the U.S. Ambassador to Russia, John Sullivan, in Moscow.

Moscow will make the letter public a few hours after handing it over to the U.S., according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
