Reports from the Atlantic show vaccination rates of American adults aged 65 and older are still low. And the elderly who are unvaccinated have been dying from COVID-19 at an incredibly high rate. Citing data from the CDC, the magazine said three-quarters of the U.S. COVID-19 deaths in 2022 have been people aged 65 and above. The U.S. has not only a lower overall vaccination rate but lower coverage in the elderly.
