The Chinese mainland recorded 195 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, with 101 linked to local transmissions and 94 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Sunday.

A total of 39 new asymptomatic cases were also recorded, and 687 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation. Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now total 107,707, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636 since January last year.

The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 22,128 (15,963 recoveries, 276 deaths)

Macao: 79 (79 recoveries)

Taiwan: 19,937 (13,742 recoveries, 852 deaths)
