Representatives of various sectors in Hong Kong have put forward 16 measures to support the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government in containing the COVID-19 pandemic since February 18, which were widely endorsed by all social sectors in the city.

Expressing their support at an online meeting, the representatives pledged to rally resources and join the anti-pandemic efforts in the global financial hub.

Under the measures, mainland enterprises will help ensure the supply of prevention and control materials and daily necessities. Additionally, local businesses and mainland enterprises will vacate hotels to allow them to be used as quarantine facilities. They will also help provide vaccination facilities in some of the city's shopping malls and office buildings.
