A total of nine members of Yemen's pro-government forces were killed by a landmine explosion in the country's northern province of Saada on Sunday, a military official told Xinhua.

"A military patrol of the pro-government forces was struck by an anti-vehicle landmine laid previously by the Houthi rebel militia in Albuqa in Saada," the local military source said on condition of anonymity.
