Nixon's historic visit to China in 1972 paved the way for the normalization of China-U.S. ties. Professor Josef Gregory Mahoney, executive director of the International Center for Advanced Political Studies and director of the International Graduate Program in Politics at the East China Normal University, talked about how the legacy of that visit still influences bilateral relations to this day.
