Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday afternoon ordered the main Russian forces in Ukraine to resume advancing due to lack of negotiations from Ukraine, TASS News Agency reported on Saturday, citing Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
Putin on Friday afternoon ordered to stop the advance of troops in Ukraine in anticipation of negotiations with Kyiv that never happened, the Kremlin said.
He added that Russia had expected the sanctions and prepared seriously to minimize their impact on the economy as sanction were largely predictable.
