The Republic of Korea's (ROK) military says the Democratic People's Republic of Korea launched an unidentified projectile into eastern waters on Sunday. The Japanese Coast Guard said it could be a ballistic missile. The fresh launch by Pyongyang comes ahead of the ROK's presidential election on March 9. This would be the eighth such launch this year following a series of missile tests last month, including the country's most powerful missile since 2017.
