Russia and Ukraine are holding talks in Belarus to resolve their conflict. Russia's delegation is headed by an aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, whilst Ukraine's defense minister leads the other side. Belarus says it will ensure security during the talks. Ahead of the meeting, Russian negotiators said they wanted to reach an agreement as soon as possible. The Ukraine side said their main goal was an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops. Kremlin declined to comment on Russia's objectives in talks with Ukraine.
