China supports and encourages all diplomatic efforts conducive to easing the standoff between Russia and Ukraine, and urges to resolve the crisis properly, said the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin on Monday.

China will always stand on the side of peace and justice when asked about the position on the Ukraine issue, Wang told a regular conference on Monday.
