HK employers take care of Filipina maid diagnosed with COVID-19

Wahini is a domestic help from the Philippines in Hong Kong. Two weeks ago, she found herself infected with COVID-19. With the situation getting more serious in the city, Wahini felt a sense of helplessness. "When I knew I got the virus, I cried because I didn't know what to do," Wahini said. Later, with encouragement and support from her employers, she was tested negative for COVID-19. "Wahini is far from home. She has taken quite good care of the family. Now she is sick, and it is our turn, as her employer, to care for her," said her employer Yu Peishan. On February 27, Hong Kong health authorities reported a record 26,026 daily COVID-19 infections, and totally 68,851 confirmed cases (18,236 recoveries, 659 deaths).
