Main Media Center in transition to serve for 2022 Winter Paralympics

The Beijing Winter Paralympics will run from March 4 to 13 and with the opening ceremony on Friday, preparations have entered top gear, with facilities including the Main Media Center put into operation as of Monday after the completion of the transition work. 

There will be about 3,300 accredited reporters from all over the world covering the Games, with the main media center open from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. every day for non-stop coverage. There are four press conference rooms set to cater to the International Paralympic Committee, national and regional Paralympic committees, Global Association of International Sports Federations, and Olympic organizing committees of the current and future host cities of the Winter Paralympics. 

All press conference rooms have been set up with accessible ramps, while all other accessible facilities have been adjusted according to the suggestions and requirements of the IPC, including the wheelchair seats in cafeterias.
