One day before the opening of the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, China issued a white paper on the country's progress in developing sports for people with disabilities on Thursday.

The Games will provide a further opportunity to develop parasports in China and enable the international parasports movement to advance "together for a shared future," said the white paper.

It also said that parasports have made enormous progress in China, reflecting the country's achievements in respecting and protecting the rights and interests of people with disabilities.
