The European Commission (EC) said on Friday in a statement that it has suspended cooperation with Russia and Belarus in the European Neighborhood Instrument cross-border cooperation programs (ENI CBC) as well as in the Interreg Baltic Sea region program.

"This means, among others, that no further payments will be made to Russia or Belarus. Cooperation with both countries in programs under the new programming period 2021-2027 is also suspended," the statement added.
