Norway has decided to freeze cooperation with Russia in research and education, the Norwegian Cabinet announced in a statement on Friday.

"We are suspending dialogue with the Russian authorities, and as a general rule, all institutional agreements between Norwegian and Russian research and educational institutions must be put on hold," the statement said.
