Gennadiy Leonidovich Trukhanov, mayor of Odessa, told CGTN reporter Maksim Voytenko on Friday that he assumed the Russian forces are "preparing for a landing operation" at Odessa, a Black Sea port city in southern Ukraine.

Russian military landing ships are cruising near Odessa in the Black Sea, said Trukhanov.

The mayor emphasized that the city's food and medical supplies have not been interrupted, which are replenished daily.
