Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Saturday a plane from Rossiya airlines flew from St. Petersburg to Washington to fly home Russian diplomats declared persona non grata in the U.S.
In a Telegram message, she also dismissed the claim that the flight is "Moscow's attempt to get in touch with the Americans."
