Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a new video message released on his Facebook page on Saturday, said he's sure that soon he could tell people who fled Ukraine to come back.
"I am sure that soon we will be able to tell our people: come back! Come back from Poland, Romania, Slovakia and all other countries. Come back because there is no threat anymore.”
Speaking on negotiations with Russia, Zelenskyy said the progress of the next round of talks will be judged on the results of the evacuation of civilians through the humanitarian corridor today.
The Russian ministry of defense declared a partial ceasefire on Saturday to allow the exit of civilians from Mariupol and Volnovakha in southern Ukraine.
Mariupol humanitarian corridor is between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Moscow Time (0900-1400 GMT), RIA news agency reported, citing city authorities.
